Residential proxies quick start

Buy rotating residential GB with your wallet, target countries and cities, and connect through gw.ipproxy.co.

Top up the wallet, then buy

IPProxy is wallet-first. Add balance with FastPay (cards and supported local methods), then purchase residential GB or static IP plans from checkout. Successful wallet purchases debit balance immediately; if fulfilment cannot complete, the charge is refunded to the wallet.

  • Billing → add funds with FastPay
  • Checkout → pick product, quantity and location
  • Dashboard → copy credentials and start traffic

Buy residential traffic

Open Checkout → Residential, choose how many GB you need, and confirm. Traffic is prepaid and consumed as you send requests. Unused balance stays on the residential product until you use it — there is no automatic monthly reset tied to calendar months.

  • Quantity is measured in GB of proxy traffic
  • No long-term contract required for standard packs
  • Orders appear under Dashboard → Residential once fulfilled

Targeting and sticky sessions

Gateway usernames can append targeting segments such as cty-{ISO2}, st-{state}, ct-{city}, plus sticky session ss-{id} and tm-{minutes}. Build lines in the dashboard generator or your own tooling.

China (CN) is special: omit any -st-* segment. Including a state token for CN returns CONNECT 502 on the public gateway. Country, city and sticky parameters remain fine.

  • Worldwide: omit cty (do not send cty-ALL)
  • Most countries: cty + optional st + optional ct
  • CN: cty-CN (+ city/sticky) — never add -st-
  • Sticky: ss-{session} and optional tm-{duration}

Connect your first requests

Every fulfilled order shows host, port, username and password in the dashboard. Copy a line in your preferred format (host:port:user:pass, user:pass@host:port, or a protocol URL) and paste it into your scraper, browser extension or SDK.

IPProxy publishes traffic through gw.ipproxy.co. Depending on the supplier channel behind your plan you will see port 5001 or port 7777 — use the exact host and port printed on the order card. The same port accepts HTTP(S) CONNECT and SOCKS5.

  • Host: gw.ipproxy.co (always use the public host from the dashboard, not a supplier hostname)
  • Ports: 5001 or 7777 — trust the value shown for that proxy line
  • Protocols: HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 on the same port

Verify and monitor

Use Dashboard → Tools → Proxy Tester with a copied line, or hit a simple echo URL through the proxy. Watch remaining GB on the residential page; top up more traffic from checkout when the balance runs low.
